Our children and their families are an important part of our lives
and we will continuously strive to make life easier for them in
any way possible. Please feel free to call us
at any time and allow us to answer any questions you may have. We
are always happy to give you a tour of our beautiful center with
no appointment necessary. Just drop in. We would love to show you
and your child around!
Wish Upon A Star is proud to have a Gold Seal accreditation through
A.P.P.L.E AND N.E.C.P.A! Early childhood programs that are accredited
have demonstrated a commitment to providing high quality programs
for young children and their families. Gold Seal accredited centers
are held to much stricter guideline compared to those centers who
do not hold an accreditation. The accreditation process requires
each school to meet specific quality standards in areas such as
interactions among teachers and children, staff to child ratios,
developmental appropriateness of the curriculum, staff qualifications,
health and safety, and administration. It also requires schools
to undergo a validation process to verify their compliance with
both APPLE and NECPA guidelines which may be more stringent than
state licensing requirements. We pride ourselves on being one of
the best child care centers in the area.
WUAS is a member of the CATCH Group working to
promote child health. The CATCH Program is the #1 health promotion
and childhood obesity prevention program available. CATCH stands
for a Coordinated Approach To Child Health and is an evidence-based,
coordinated school health program designed to promote physical activity,
healthy food choices and the prevention of tobacco use in children.

WUAS is proud to have been selected, as the ONLY child
care center in the county, to participate in a new program called
"MyON is a complete literacy solution that reinvents student
reading. Students become immersed in reading titles targeted specifically
for them, through individualized profiles. MyON includes features
only digital content can offer, like spoken word audio to model
fluency, sentence highlighting and an embedded dictionary. Using
embedded LexileŽ reading assessments, our teachers can measure and
forecast reading growth."
We are so excited to bring the magic of MyON into the classrooms!
We have even been provided with an IPAD for the children to use.
Not only will we be introducing this technology to our VPK classes,
but to our PRE-K classes as well! Visit the myon.com
website for more information.

Our objective is to see that your child is loved and well cared for
during the hours away from your care. We strive to make your child
feel accepted and appreciated, as well as to stimulate his/her excitement
for learning. We attempt for each child to learn good personal manners,
as well as healthy eating habits. Each child is encouraged
to express themselves through their own ideas and experiences through
play. Our desire is to help in developing a happy, well-rounded, disciplined
We believe that play is a child's work and children play to learn,
grow, and to experience the world around them.
Wish Upon A Star encompasses
a philosophy by which children are allowed to develop naturally,
each at their own individual pace. Therefore, our programs are based
on the individual social, intellectual, and physical development
of each child. We believe children are happy and secure when they
have plenty of opportunities to succeed each day. Success breeds
self confidence, and the self confident child approaches learning
as fun and actively searches for information and solutions to problems.
As a result, they develop into well-rounded capable adults.
To make this philosophy work, our teaching staff guides each child
in a clean, safe and specially prepared environment using carefully
designed materials, to give children the opportunity to learn through
choice and discovery.
We accept infants, toddlers, preschoolers as well as school-aged
children, without regard to their race, color, religion, creed,
national origin, gender, or any other category designated by law.
Wish Upon A Star is licensed by the state of Florida.
